Government employees are eagerly waiting for the 8th Pay Commission. After its arrival, there is going to be a huge increase in the salaries of government employees and pensions of pensioners. How much will increase with the implementation of the 8th Pay Commission?

According to the report, there are about 68 lakh central pensioners in the country and the number of government employees is the highest. The 8th Pay Commission will have an impact on pension like salary.

Pension includes both salary and dearness allowance. But it does not include House Rent Allowance (HRA) and Travel Allowance. The basic salary increases with the fitment facto,r anthe d dearness allowance becomes zero.

If the report is to be believed, after the arrival of the 8th Pay Commission, there can be an increase of 30-34 per cent in salary and pension. However, this will increase the financial burden of Rs 1.8 lakh crore on the government.

Meaning of the 8th Pay Commission

Under the 8th Pay Commission, the salary structure of central employees will be analysed. By the way, like the previous Pay Commission, there is a possibility of giving suggestions to improve the existing salary structure in the new Pay Commission as well. After this, the salaries of central employees and pensions of pensioners will be increased as per the recommendations of the commission.
