OnePlus Nord 5 vs Poco F7 5G: Now the competition in India’s mid-range segment has become even more interesting. Launched in July 2025, both OnePlus Nord 5 and Poco F7 5G are new players making a splash in the market. Both brands have given amazing features in terms of performance, design and camera, but the question is which phone is best for you?

Pricing and Variants

First of all, let’s talk about the price, because budget is important for everyone. Both phones start at ₹31,999, but Poco has adopted a slightly aggressive pricing strategy. You get the top variant for ₹33,999 itself, whereas the top variant of OnePlus Nord 5 costs ₹37,999. Both phones come with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, so this comparison is equal, but Poco is not a bit expensive, it is cheaper.

Performance

Now talking about performance, OnePlus has Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor and Poco F7 5G has the latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. AnTuTu scores show that Poco F7 is a little more powerful. Its score is almost around 1.8 million, while Nord 5 is slightly behind. Both are quite smooth in real-life usage, but Poco has a slight edge for gaming and heavy multitasking.

Display and Brightness

The display of both phones is almost the same size—6.83-inch AMOLED. But when it comes to brightness, the Poco’s display offers 3200 nits peak brightness which is too much. OnePlus’s 1800 nits is also not bad, but Poco will look slightly better in direct sunlight.

Camera

Both brands have done a solid job in the camera department as well. Nord 5 has a 50MP Sony LYT-700 primary sensor with OIS, while Poco has a 50MP Sony IMX882 with OIS. The front camera in Nord is 50MP while Poco has 20MP. Both support video recording up to 4K@60fps, but Nord’s front camera also shoots 4K. So if you are fond of selfies or vlogging, then Nord may be better for you.

Battery and Charging

Battery is slightly bigger in Poco—7550mAh, while Nord has 6800mAh. Charging speed is also 90W in Poco and 80W in Nord. Both are fast, but Poco is a little faster. Reverse charging is also up to 22.5W in Poco while Nord has only 5W. So Poco is slightly ahead in terms of battery and charging.

Software and Updates

Talking about software, both the phones come with their custom UI based on Android 15–OxygenOS 15 in Nord and HyperOS 2.0 in Poco. In terms of updates, both the companies are going to provide Android updates for 4 years and security updates for 6 years. OxygenOS is a bit clean and minimalistic while HyperOS has a lot of AI features and customization.

Durability and Build Quality

Build quality is also an important factor. Nord has a plastic frame with glass back while Poco has an aluminum alloy frame. Poco’s IP rating is also better–IP66, IP68, IP69. So if you use a little rugged or there is a risk of accidental water splash, then Poco will be more reliable.

Final Verdict

So brother, if you want a phone that is more powerful, gives better display brightness, better battery life and is more rugged, then Poco F7 5G is a perfect option. But if you want a slightly refined UI, better front camera and like a slightly stylish design, then OnePlus Nord 5 is also not a bad option. Both phones are solid in their own place, the choice depends on your personal preference.
