Let us tell you that there are many such families in Bihar who can spend only 100 units of electricity in a month. With this decision of the government, the electricity bill of those families can become zero. Under this scheme, there will be a saving of about Rs 700 every month.
When will the scheme be implemented?

At present, this scheme has got approval from the Finance Department. Now it is just pending to get approval from the cabinet. As soon as the cabinet approves it, this scheme will be implemented across the state.
Let us tell you that under this scheme, the state government will bear the cost of electricity bill up to 100 units. If the bill is more than that, you will have to pay a fee. In Bihar, the charge for the first 50 units of use in urban areas is Rs 7.57 per unit. And after this limit, the electricity bill has to be paid at the rate of Rs 7.96 per unit.
