If your name has been removed from the voter list, then first of all you can complain about it online. For this, go to the National Voter Service Portal (NVSP) and login by going to the ‘Register Complaint’ or ‘Share Suggestion’ section. After logging in, register your complaint.
If you do not already have a login, you will have to create an account on the website. This process is completely online and you can register your complaint in just a few minutes.If you are facing problem in filing online complaint, then you can call the Election Commission’s helpline number 1950. Apart from this, you can also contact the BLO (Booth Level Officer) of your area. For this, you will have to submit a passport size photo, some important documents and fill Form 6. After filling this form, your name will be added to the voter list again.
What to do if you have changed your house or area?
If you have changed your house or locality while living in the same city, then it is necessary to get your name removed from the voter list of the old area. After this, you will have to fill Form 7, which you can download online. Attach this form with your address proof and ID proof and submit it to the BLO. After this, your name will be added to the voter list of the new address.
