The biggest and most important document used in India is the Aadhaar Card. About 90 percent of the country’s population has an Aadhaar card. From admission in school or college to availing government schemes, an Aadhaar card is required everywhere. But now, if you are thinking of getting any work done related to the Aadhaar card, then you need to be more cautious than before. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has implemented some new rules, which will directly affect Aadhaar cardholders.
Major changes were made to make and update Aadhaar
These changes have been made regarding the making and updating of the Aadhaar card. Now, if someone gets an Aadhaar card made or updates any information in it, then a new and detailed list of which documents they can use for this has been issued. Let us tell you that this new list is not limited to Indian citizens only. It also includes Overseas Indian Citizens, i.e., OCI cardholders, children above 5 years of age, and people living in India on a long-term visa.
