Tata Motors is set to disrupt the Indian compact SUV segment with four thrilling models below ₹10 lakh. With aggressive design, fresh features, and electrified choices, these new SUVs are designed to appeal to young customers seeking value and performance without burning a hole in their pocket.
All-New Tata Nexon
Tata is gearing up to introduce a brand-new iteration of the Nexon, codenamed as ‘Garud’. This new-generation Nexon is likely to receive significant upgrades both outside and inside. The exterior and interior will get Tata’s new-age styling language, which will give it a sharper and more contemporary look. The interior will also receive a major revamp with a better layout and more premium elements.
Advanced Features in Nexon
The new Nexon could feature a panoramic sunroof and Level 2 ADAS features, both of which would be segment-firsts for the compact SUV. All these features will provide Nexon with an advantage over its competitors, providing customers with more tech and safety at sub-₹10 lakh.
Tata Punch
Tata is also preparing a mid-life facelift for its best-selling subcompact SUV, Punch. The ICE model has been spotted testing, which means significant design changes and additional features. The 1.2-litre petrol motor should remain, but the interiors and tech are likely to be significantly improved.

Punch EV to Receive Nexon EV Features
Besides the standard Punch, Tata is also renewing the Punch EV. The facelifted EV might take a few cues from the Nexon EV, such as an increased battery and improved range. This could turn the Punch EV into a compelling choice for customers seeking an affordable electric SUV with improved tech.
Tata Scarlet
The second new subcompact SUV from Tata is bound to be named Scarlet. It will be inspired by the Sierra EV concept and, unlike the Curvv, feature a boxy, upright look. The specs remain a secret at the moment, but it will be built on the same platform as the ICE Curvv. The petrol and diesel options are sure to follow, and an electric version in the future is also a possibility.
