2025 Triumph Trident 660 : Triumph Motorcycles has launched the 2025 version of its mid-segment sports bike Trident 660 in the Indian market. The starting ex-showroom price of this bike has been kept at ₹ 8.49 lakh. This bike has once again come to stir up the midweight naked bike segment with its powerful engine and feature upgrades. Many new features have been added to it as compared to the previous model, which has improved its performance and riding experience.

Engine and Performance

The new Trident 660 has the same old but reliable 660cc three-cylinder engine, which comes with liquid-cooled technology. This engine produces 81 PS of power at 10,250 RPM and 64 Nm of torque at 6,250 RPM. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox, which also supports slip and assist clutch. The bike also gets electronic throttle control and low-slung exhaust system, which improves its sound and ride quality.

Frame and suspension setup

The frame of the bike is in the same steel tubular perimeter design as before. It has Showa’s 41mm SFF-BP upside-down forks at the front, which give movement up to 120mm. At the rear, Showa’s monoshock suspension is provided, which has the facility of preload adjustment and it travels 130mm.

Braking and tires

The braking system has two 310mm disc brakes at the front which are controlled by Nissin’s two-piston calipers. A 255mm single disc brake is provided at the rear. Both the wheels of the bike have been provided with cornering ABS, which improves safety and control. Talking about the tyres, Michelin Road 5 tyres of size 120/70 R17 have been given in the front and 180/55 R17 in the rear, which give great grip.

Design and Ergonomics

The total weight of the bike is 190 kg and the seat height is 805mm, which makes it comfortable for riders of all heights. Its 14-litre fuel tank and compact design make it very convenient to drive in cities. The wheelbase of the bike is 1401mm and the rake angle is 24.6 degrees, which makes it very comfortable in turning.

New Features and Technology

The 2025 model now also has support for cruise control and quickshifter. It has three riding modes – Sport, Road and Rain. Apart from this, traction control can also be turned on/off in it. The bike’s display has a combination of TFT and LCD, in which Triumph’s connectivity module is also available as an option. Through this you can use features like navigation, call-message alerts, music and GoPro control.

Accessories and Customization

If you want to make the bike more advanced or touring friendly, then many accessories have also been made available by Triumph. These include options like heated grips, USB charger, scrolling indicators, tire pressure monitoring system, tail pack, tank bag, bar-end mirrors, flyscreen and aluminum belly pan.

Service and Maintenance

The company has introduced this bike with a service interval of 16,000 km or 12 months (whichever is earlier), which makes it very economical in terms of maintenance.
