The Mohan government of Madhya Pradesh has given another big gift to the people before Rakshabandhan. On Thursday, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav reviewed the work of the Urban Development Department at Samatva Bhavan. During this meeting, he announced that 1.30 crore Ladli sisters will be given houses along with financial help.

1.30 Crore ‘Ladli’ Sisters Will Get Houses

In a recent meeting, it was announced that 1.30 crore Ladli sisters living in urban areas of Madhya Pradesh will be given houses along with financial help. Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban 1.0, 8.55 lakh houses have already been completed. In the second phase, more than 4 lakh applications have been received so far.

Other Major Decisions Taken

A target has been set to make the Bhopal and Indore Metro lines fully operational by 2027. Under the Chief Minister Infrastructure Construction Scheme, 1,062 projects worth ₹1,070 crore have been approved.

In the religious city of Chitrakoot, a work plan of ₹2,800 crore has been prepared. Out of this, the Urban Development Department is making a detailed project plan worth ₹800 crore.

The meeting also shared that 218 pink toilets are running in 183 urban bodies for women. The operation of electric buses was also discussed. 333 water supply and sewerage projects have been approved in different urban areas, and ₹11,000 crore has been sanctioned for them.

Focus on Clean Water, Green Areas, and E-Governance

Under the Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan, the revival of 36 water structures in urban areas has been completed. Also, 38 green areas have been developed.

A total of 3,963 rainwater harvesting systems have been built in various cities. Along with this, an action plan for 30 drains has been created to manage groundwater levels and purify dirty water. The government is also working to expand e-governance and online citizen services to improve public convenience.
