Vivo T4 Ultra vs OPPO Reno 14 5G: The month of July 2025 is very exciting for tech lovers, as two new smartphones have made a splash in the mid-premium segment. Vivo T4 Ultra has already made its mark in India and OPPO Reno 14 5G is also going to be launched on 3rd July. Both the phones are targeting such users who are looking for a stylish, powerful and camera-heavy phone – that too in a budget of around ₹ 40,000.
Design & Durability
The design of Vivo T4 Ultra gives a very premium feel, in which quad-curved display has been used, which gives a wow feeling as soon as you see it. Its weight is around 192g and the thickness is just 7.45mm. This phone comes in two classy colors – Phoenix Gold and Meteor Grey, one of which has a pattern like marble effect.
The OPPO Reno 14 5G is also light and slim in size, around 187g, and just 7.42mm thin. Its color options and design are also quite stylish – Mermaid, Pinellia Green, and Reef Black. But the biggest thing is its IP66 + IP68 + IP69 rating, which protects it from water splashes, immersion and even high-pressure water jets. In terms of durability, OPPO clearly leads.
Display Brilliance
Vivo T4 Ultra has a 6.67-inch 1.5K Quad Curved AMOLED display, which supports 120Hz refresh rate and its peak brightness goes up to 5000 nits! The clarity is full even in direct sunlight.
OPPO Reno 14 5G has a 6.59-inch OLED display with similar resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, but its peak brightness is only up to 1200 nits. So if you use it outdoors more or enjoy HDR content, then Vivo’s display will seem more impressive.
Performance Powerhouse
Vivo T4 Ultra comes with a flagship level processor – MediaTek Dimensity 9300+. This processor is quite powerful and claims a score of over 2 million in AnTuTu benchmark. It comes with Immortalis-G720 MC12 GPU which is a blast in graphics and gaming. In storage options, you get 256GB or 512GB with LPDDR5X RAM.
OPPO Reno 14 5G is also no less – but it uses Dimensity 8350 SoC, which is strong but slightly lower tier. GPU is ARM G615 MC6. Here RAM can be up to 16GB, storage is also available up to 1TB – which is for those users who store more data. But in terms of performance, Vivo is slightly ahead.
Camera Showdown
Vivo T4 Ultra has a triple rear camera setup – 50MP main Sony IMX921 sensor, 8MP ultra-wide lens, and 50MP periscope telephoto lens that supports 3x optical zoom, OIS, and the segment’s first 10x telephoto macro. Its digital zoom can go up to 100x. There is a 32MP selfie camera in the front, which is decent.
OPPO Reno 14 5G also comes with a triple camera setup – 50MP main (Sony IMX882), 8MP ultra-wide, and 50MP periscope lens with 3.5x lossless optical zoom and 120x digital zoom. The front camera here is quite impressive – 50MP with autofocus.
Vivo has an advantage in camera tuning and macro zoom features, while OPPO has an advantage in selfie quality and slightly better optical zoom range. Both phones will not disappoint camera lovers.
Battery Life & Charging
OPPO Reno 14 5G takes the lead in the battery department – it has a massive 6000 mAh battery backup and 80W fast charging. Whereas Vivo T4 Ultra has a 5500 mAh battery with 90W charging speed. Both phones charge fast, but OPPO will last a little longer in daily use.
Software and Extra Features
Vivo T4 Ultra runs Funtouch OS 15 on Android 15, and OPPO Reno 14 5G runs ColorOS 15 also on Android 15. Both provide quite customizable and feature-rich UI. Both get in-display fingerprint sensor, USB-C port, AI features, and fast UI optimization. The only difference is of personal preference – some like Funtouch, some like ColorOS.
Final Verdict
If you want a flagship-level performance, brighter display and powerful camera features, then Vivo T4 Ultra is a solid option. If you want stylish design, better water resistance, bigger battery backup and top-tier selfie camera, then OPPO Reno 14 5G is also a strong contender.
In the end the decision depends on your preference – do you want more performance and camera tuning or more battery and durability. Both these phones offer the best value in the Rs. 40,000 range – so whichever you choose, you won’t be disappointed!
