Petrol Diesel Price: This morning, government oil companies released new prices of petrol and diesel from Uttar Pradesh to Bihar. The impact of rising crude oil prices in the international market is visible on the retail prices of petrol and diesel across the country. Crude oil, which had once fallen to $ 65 per barrel, is once again moving towards $ 70. However, its direct impact is not visible in the four big metros of the country – Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata – at the moment, but changes are taking place in smaller cities.

At the same time, the rate of WTI crude has also increased to $ 64.71 per barrel. These rising prices of crude oil may increase the prices of petrol and diesel in the retail market in the future.
Petrol and diesel prices in the four major metros of the country

In Delhi:- Petrol ₹ 94.72 per liter and diesel ₹ 87.62 per liter

In Chennai:- Petrol ₹ 100.76 per liter and diesel ₹ 92.35 per liter

Why do oil prices change every morning at 6 am
In India, petrol and diesel prices change every day at 6 am and the new rates become effective from this time. Excise duty, dealer commission, VAT, and many other charges are added to these prices. After adding all these, the original price of petrol and diesel almost doubles. This is the reason why we see such high prices of petrol and diesel. These charges are determined by the central and state governments, which leads to a difference in prices in different states and cities.
