Benefits of moving from NPS to UPS.

The government has initiated the UPS scheme at the demand of OPS. It was implemented on April 1, 2025. This scheme is an option for NPS. In other words, if an employee does not want to stay in NPS, they can shift to UPS. The difference between the two is that a pension is guaranteed in UPS. Apart from this, there is no guarantee of a retirement in NPS.

Those who choose UPS will now also receive the benefit of gratuity, as was provided under the earlier pension rules. UPS is suitable for employees who want to ensure a fixed income. The pension amount in NPS is not guaranteed, but there is a chance of receiving a substantial amount through market-linked returns.

Join UPS by the stipulated time.
