First of all, open the official portal of Birth and Death Registration of your state in your web browser. (The CRS portal of the Government of India – crsorgi.gov.in – also provides a central facility from where you can proceed for your state.)
Read the complete information related to the birth certificate on the portal. After this, click on options like ‘General Public Sign Up’ or ‘New User Registration’.
How to Apply Online for a Birth Certificate
Now, enter the required information like your name, email ID, mobile number, etc. correctly. Keep in mind that the information should be accurate. You have to create a user ID and password.
After completing the registration process, login with your user ID and password. After logging in, choose the option of ‘Birth Certificate’ or ‘Birth Registration’.
Now, the online application form for birth certificates will open. Fill in the child’s name (if named), date of birth, place of birth (hospital name), parents’ name, address, gender, and all other required information carefully.
