Maruti Suzuki Nexa showrooms are still stocking one of their more premium sedans, even two months after the company officially discontinued it. The motivation is discount offers on buys to clear old inventory.

₹40000 Off to Clear Old Stock

Despite discontinuation in April 2024, Maruti Suzuki’s Ciaz sedan continues to be available in some dealerships. In order to help the dealers offload the unsold inventory, the company is offering a total discount of as much as ₹40000. This includes ₹10000 as cash discount and ₹30000 as bonus on exchange. The exact number of units remaining on hand has not been determined by the company, although 458 units were sold during May alone. The minimum base ex-showroom price of the vehicle starts at ₹9.41 lakh.

Engine and Performance Unchanged

The sedan continues to be powered by Maruti’s 1.5-litre petrol engine. This engine delivers 103bhp of power and 138Nm of torque. It comes paired with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The mileage figures are impressive too—20.65km/l for the manual and 20.04km/l for the automatic version, making it a fuel-efficient choice in its segment.

Safety Upgrades for a More Secure Drive

In February 2024, the Ciaz received an update that added more than 20 safety features. Important additions like Hill Hold Assist and Electronic Stability Program (ESP) are now standard on every model. The car also features dual-twin front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, and ISOFIX child seat anchors—placing passenger safety high on the agenda.

New Dual-Tone Colors Add Freshness

In order to give the sedan a fresh visual appearance, three new dual-tone color shades were introduced this year. They include Pearl Metallic Opulent Red with a black top, Pearl Metallic Grandeur Grey with a black top, and Dignity Brown with a black top. They are available in manual and automatic transmissions, giving style as well as ease.
