3 upcoming car launches in June: The month of June is shaping up to be an exciting one for car enthusiasts in India. Automakers are set to launch some of their most highly anticipated models, ranging from electric SUVs and luxury off-roaders to high-performance sports cars. From Tata Motors to Mercedes-Benz, major launches are in the pipeline that promise excitement, performance, and new technology features. Here is a closer look at what’s in store this June.

Tata Harrier EV (Launch Date: June 3)

Tata Motors is set to launch its most upscale electric SUV so far—the Tata Harrier EV. Initially showcased in production-spec guise at the 2025 Auto Expo, this SUV will differ from the regular Harrier in a number of areas. It features a closed-off front grille, new LED taillamps, connected LED DRLs, new alloy wheels that are more aerodynamic, and EV-specific badging which will visually differentiate it.

Power transmission is likely to be robust with a two-motor configuration, one on each axle, offering all-wheel-drive capability. The motors will produce close to 500 Nm of torque. The driving range in expectation is about 600 km on a single charge, though official figures are pending. The Harrier EV will also feature contemporary amenities such as connected car technology, panoramic sunroof, touchscreen infotainment, and OTA updates.

Mercedes-AMG G 63 Collector’s Edition (Launch Date: June 12)

Mercedes-Benz will introduce a special edition of its legendary off-roader, the G 63 AMG, this month. Called the “Collector’s Edition,” the car is significant not only for its features but for being India’s first special edition ever, created by the company’s in-house R&D team in India. It will have one-of-a-kind trim accents, new upholstery, and an India-inspired paint finish.

Under the bonnet, the powerplant stays the same: a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 developing 580 bhp and 850 Nm torque, paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. Since the regular G 63 AMG costs ₹3.64 crore, the Collector’s Edition will probably fetch a slight premium. It’s an opportunity to drive something powerful, luxurious, and literally one of a kind.

Mercedes-AMG GT 63 and GT 63 Pro (Launch Date: June 27)

Mercedes-Benz has more to offer with the launch of the second-generation AMG GT. This time, the GT 63 and its beefier counterpart GT 63 Pro are arriving simultaneously. These speedsters are larger in dimensions and feature a 2+2 seating arrangement, providing speed coupled with usability.

Both the versions feature the well-known 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine with a 9-speed automatic transmission. The base GT 63 produces 580 bhp and 800 Nm torque, and the Pro model pushes it further with 604 bhp and 850 Nm torque. Acceleration is the highlight with 0-100 kmph taking just 3.2 seconds. Top speeds are capped at 315 kmph and 317 kmph for the base and Pro variants respectively. The Pro variant also gets bigger brakes, better aerodynamics, and upgraded cooling systems. The pricing is likely to cross ₹3 crore.
