Xiaomi 15S Pro Gets a Bold Redesign With Camera Upgrades Teased in New Video

Xiaomi 15S Pro: As the official launch nears, the Xiaomi 15S Pro has been showcased in teasers, building anticipation among tech enthusiasts. One of the biggest highlights is its periscope telephoto camera, paired with Xiaomi’s in-house XRing O1 chipset, positioning it as a flagship contender.

Periscope Telephoto Lens Suggests Impressive Zooming Features

The video posted by Xiaomi President Lu Weibing showcases the inclusion of a periscope lens on the 15s Pro. The lens is clearly oblong and sits in a special housing on the mainboard of the phone. The module appears square, carries Leica branding, and accommodates a triple-camera setup at the top-left position, with the LED flash sitting outside the module.

Design Elements Resonate Premium Looks

In the teaser trailer, Xiaomi 15s Pro is seen in a black color finish. The design is in line with premium craftsmanship, subtle details resonating with Xiaomi’s contemporary design language. The square-shaped camera island is in line with Xiaomi’s latest models, providing a known look and structural stability. Leica branding further reinforces its premium camera emphasis.

Focal Lengths Echo Xiaomi 15 Pro

Surprisingly, the camera housing inscription indicates that the tele lens provides 120mm equivalent focal length, just like with the Xiaomi 15 Pro. It also comes with a 14mm ultra-wide-angle lens again. This retention indicates Xiaomi sticking with the reliable optics of its predecessor and perhaps fine-tuning the image processing for improvement.

Camera Apertures Indicate Low-Light Capability

The Xiaomi 15s Pro is potentially going to give an f/1.44 aperture for the primary sensor and f/2.5 for the telephoto lens, which would reflect excellent low-light imaging performance. Though there are not a lot of hardware updates from the Xiaomi 15 Pro, it seems Xiaomi is just polishing the experience instead of completely revamping it.

XRing O1 Chipset Brings Competitive Power

The phone will debut with the XRing O1 chipset, Xiaomi’s self-developed CPU built on a 3nm process. Early benchmarks show it performing on par with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite. With a complex 2+4+2+2 CPU structure and top clock speeds reaching 3.90GHz, the chip is expected to deliver flagship-level performance across gaming, multitasking, and AI tasks.

Performance Benchmarks Point to Strong Android Experience

Xiaomi 15s Pro has already popped up on Geekbench, with Android 15 and 16GB of RAM. This configuration suggests a silky, next-generation user experience. With its next-generation silicon and generous memory, Xiaomi is directly competing with the best flagships of 2025.
