The BCCI released the list of new central contracts on April 21, which includes a total of 34 players. Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja, and Jasprit Bumrah have been retained in the A+ grade of the central contract. A total of 6 players have been included in the A grade this time. The C category has the highest number of players, with 19 names on the list. Out of these, 5 players are making their debut in the central contract. These 5 players have got the central contract for the first time, and one of them is known as the ‘disciple’ of Indian team coach Gautam Gambhir.

These 5 Players Got a Place in the BCCI Central Contract List for the First Time

1. Akash Deep

Fast bowler Akash Deep has got a place in the BCCI Central Contract List for the first time. He made his Test debut for India against England in 2024 and has played 7 Test matches so far. He was India’s leading bowler in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Akash Deep has been placed in Grade C, which means he will get an annual salary of ₹1 crore.

2. Abhishek Sharma

Abhishek Sharma has been included in Grade C of the BCCI Central Contract List.

In recent times, Abhishek has impressed everyone with his brilliant batting. He has scored 535 runs in 17 T20 matches for India so far, including two centuries.

Now, BCCI will give him an annual salary of ₹1 crore.

3. Nitish Kumar Reddy

Nitish Kumar Reddy has also been included in Grade C of the BCCI Central Contract List. He will get an annual salary of ₹1 crore from the BCCI.

Nitish made his debut for India after the last IPL season and performed well as an all-rounder in T20 Internationals and Tests.

So far, he has scored 298 runs in 5 Test matches, including one century, and 90 runs in 4 T20 International matches.

4. Varun Chakravarthy

Varun Chakravarthy has made a strong comeback to Team India. Ever since Gautam Gambhir became the head coach, Varun has impressed everyone with his brilliant bowling.

He played an important role in India’s victory in the Champions Trophy, where he took 9 wickets in 3 matches and became the second highest wicket-taker in the tournament.

Now he has been placed in Grade C of the contract list, and will get an annual salary of ₹1 crore.

5. Harshit Rana

Fast bowler Harshit Rana has also been placed in Grade C in the BCCI Central Contract List.

He made his debut for India during the Australia tour last year. Harshit was also part of the Indian team that won the Champions Trophy.

He will receive an annual salary of ₹1 crore from BCCI.
