Renault Duster has always been a popular SUV in India and now it is ready to return in a new avatar once again. Indian customers are eagerly waiting for this car and according to reports, Renault Duster can be launched in India in 2026. This time the new Duster will have electric 4×4 technology (e-4WD), powerful engine option and modern design. Powerful engine and e-4WD system
The biggest feature of the new Renault Duster e-4WD will be its rear-axle-mounted electric motor, which will give the SUV great off-roading capability. This e-4WD system has been developed in collaboration with French automotive company Valeo.
According to reports, it will be powered by a 1.2-litre turbo petrol 48V mild-hybrid engine that will generate 130 hp of power. This powertrain will come with a 6-speed manual transmission and will be offered in both front-wheel drive (FWD) and 4×4 drivetrain options.
Design and exterior
The new Renault Duster is going to have a more rugged look than before. It will be offered with the latest Dacia branding, and will come in an all-new muscular design. This SUV will get a wide grille, LED DRLs, projector headlamps and sporty alloy wheels. Apart from this, LED taillamps and electric 4×4 badging will be given at the rear, which will make it different from the rest of the models.
Interior and Advanced Features
The interior of Duster 2026 will be more premium and high-tech than ever before. Many modern technology and comfort features will be added to it, which will make it a perfect family SUV. This SUV will get an 8-inch or 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which will support Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Apart from this, features like digital instrument cluster, climate control, cruise control, wireless charging and sunroof can also be given.
Renault Duster 2026 – Other Engine Options
Currently, two other engine options are available in the Duster sold in Europe.
1.0-liter turbo petrol engine – This engine generates 100 hp power and gets LPG bio-fuel support. It is offered with a 6-speed manual transmission and FWD drivetrain.
1.6-liter petrol hybrid engine – This engine comes with two electric motors. It has a 49 hp traction motor and high-voltage starter generator. Its combined power output is 140 hp.
Expected Launch Date and Price
If you are waiting for this SUV, then there is good news for you. According to reports, Renault Duster will be launched in India in 2026 and its production can start by September 2026. Talking about the price, the base variant of Duster can start from around ₹ 10 lakh, while the top variant can go up to ₹ 18-25 lakh.
