The smartphone was recently spotted on the Google Play Console’s list of supported devices. Vivo has now started teasing the phone in Malaysia. Interestingly, the Malaysian version differs from the version set to launch in other markets. Here is a look at the first official teaser for the Malaysian V80 Lite.
A tipster recently claimed that the Vivo V80 Lite 5G could be a rebranded version of the Vivo S2, which launched in India earlier this month. The Vivo V80 Lite 5G has been listed on the Google Play Supported Devices list with model numbers V2576, V2643, and V2644. Most specifications of the upcoming smartphone are likely to be similar to those of the Vivo S2. The smartphone may feature a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution.
Vivo V80 Lite Launch Date Confirmed
The Vivo V80 Lite will launch in Malaysia on September 3 at 7 PM local time. The phone will be available in Pink and Green shades. The poster also confirms that the Vivo V80 Lite will come with a massive 10,000mAh battery. This marks the first time Vivo will launch a phone with a 10,000mAh battery outside of China. Previously, the brand launched the Vivo 600 Pro with a 10,200mAh battery in China.
A Geekbench listing has also revealed that it will feature 6GB of RAM and run on Android 16. Related reports suggest that the model numbers for the Vivo V80 Lite in other markets may differ. It has been spotted in the Bluetooth SIG database with the model numbers V2643 and V2644. The phone with model number V2643 has also appeared on Geekbench, listing the Dimensity 7360-Turbo (MT6878) processor, 8GB of RAM, and Android 16.
Vivo V80 Lite 5G Features
The Vivo V80 Lite 5G smartphone is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Turbo processor. Its rear camera setup may feature a 50-megapixel primary camera, while a 32-megapixel camera could be provided on the front for selfies and video calls.
The Vivo S2 was launched in India earlier this month; it is available in 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variants. The Vivo S2 smartphone features a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display (1,260 × 2,800 pixels) with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device has a 7,050mAh battery and supports 44W FlashCharge fast charging.
