While the company has not yet released official details regarding the India launch, information about the launch and sale dates has surfaced via a promotional poster. Details regarding the expected price and specifications of this upcoming smartphone had also previously come to light.
When will the Vivo S2 launch?
Tipster Abhishek Yadav (@yabhishekhd) has shared information about the Vivo S2 launch date on the social media platform X. He claims that the phone could launch in India on August 6, with the first sale commencing on August 11. The tipster also shared a promotional poster for the upcoming Vivo phone, displaying both the launch and sale dates.
Vivo S2 Expected Features and Specifications
The Vivo S2 is the second device in the company’s S-series. The upcoming phone may launch in three colour options: Sapphire Blue, Regal Bronze, and Silk White. It is also expected to be available in 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB RAM and storage configurations. According to media reports, the Vivo S2 could launch with a starting price of ₹38,000.
The Vivo S2 smartphone is expected to feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Leaks suggest it may be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC. Another report claims that the phone might be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 chipset. Additionally, it could feature a 7,000mAh battery with support for 80W wired fast charging.
Regarding the camera setup, the Vivo S2 is expected to feature a triple-camera setup. It may include a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. For selfies and video calls, the phone might feature a 32-megapixel front camera. The company has not yet shared any official details regarding the launch of the Vivo S2.
