Why was the normalisation process implemented?

The written examination for the UP Police Sub-Inspector position was conducted in different shifts. Because there may be slight differences in the difficulty levels of question papers across shifts, the Recruitment Board adopted a normalisation process to ensure a fair and transparent evaluation of all candidates. This balances the candidates’ scores to determine the final merit and cut-off.
