Train Cancelled: Major setback for railway passengers. In response to the overflowing rivers and flooding in Bihar, Indian Railways has implemented crucial measures to safeguard rail passengers. The situation on the Patna-Gaya rail section under the East Central Railway (ECR) remains critical.
The water level near Bridge No. 21, situated between Punpun and Parsa Bazar stations, has surpassed the danger threshold. For safety precautions, the railway administration has promptly halted train operations on the down line. Consequently, several local MEMU trains have been cancelled, and long-distance express trains have been rerouted. According to the East Central Railway, a team from the Railway Engineering Department is continuously monitoring the bridge and water levels around the clock. Train traffic on the down line will only resume once safety standards have been thoroughly assessed.
