Why are sugar prices falling?

To this end, mills have been instructed to ensure adequate sugar availability in the market and to sell it at reasonable prices.
The government has already taken several measures to control sugar stocks and sales. Starting in September, a system of fortnightly sales quotas for mills was introduced to avoid artificial shortages in the market and ensure smooth supply.
