Since then, Indian bowlers have not allowed New Zealand openers to build such a long partnership. Conway and Nicholls, meanwhile, tore apart the Indian bowlers with some brilliant shots. Nicholls scored 62 runs off 69 balls, including eight fours. Devon Conway, meanwhile, added 56 runs off 67 balls, hitting six fours and a six.
India’s Mohammed Siraj, Harshit Rana, Prasidh Krishna, Washington Sundar, and Kuldeep Yadav all tried their best, but the wickets didn’t help. A couple of dropped catches also benefited New Zealand. Finally, Harshit Rana broke the partnership by dismissing Henry Nicholls.
