New Delhi: The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme is serving to bring light into the lives of farmers. The government transfers an instalment of ₹2,000 at intervals of every four months. The Central Government recently released the 22nd instalment of ₹2,000 under this scheme; however, farmers who failed to comply with the stipulated rules were left out and did not receive the funds.
Since then, anticipation regarding the upcoming instalments has been growing steadily. Farmers are already eager to know the exact day and date when the next instalment arrives. Speculation suggests that the next instalment is likely to be released towards the end of July. However, no official statement has been issued by anyone regarding this matter yet.
When Was the 22nd Installment Released?
The funds for the 22nd instalment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme were released on March 13, 2026. Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally transferred the funds via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) during an event held in Guwahati, Assam. This instalment provided approximately 93.1 million (9.31 crore) farmer families. A total sum of approximately ₹18,640 crore was released for the farmers under this instalment. There are many farmers whose bank accounts did not receive the instalment funds. The failure to receive the instalment is attributed to the non-completion of essential formalities, such as e-KYC and land verification. If farmers wish to avail themselves of the benefits of the upcoming instalment, they should complete these necessary procedures.
How Can Farmers Complete e-KYC?
To do this, you must visit the official website of PM Kisan.
Next, you will need to click on the “e-KYC” option located on the homepage.
Subsequently, enter your Aadhaar number and the CAPTCHA code, then click on ‘Search’.
Then, enter the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar and click on ‘Get OTP’.
Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number and click on ‘Submit’.
If the details provided are correct, your e-KYC process will be completed successfully.
When Was the Scheme Launched?
The Central Government launched the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme in the year 2019. An instalment of ₹2,000 is transferred every four months. So far under this scheme, registered farmers have been provided with ₹44,000 each, distributed across 22 instalments of ₹2,000.
