PNB 1-Year FD – Senior Citizens Earn Up to 7.30%, 7.60% for Super Seniors

PNB Fixed Deposit Interest Rates: Whenever the topic of investment arises, bank Fixed Deposits (FDs) come to mind. Even today, FDs remain the preferred choice for many. Several major public sector banks offer various schemes and facilities to help investors grow their wealth. Currently, PNB—the country’s second-largest bank—is offering attractive interest rates on FDs with tenures ranging from 7 days to 10 years.

A notable feature of these FDs is that interest rates do not vary based on age in the standard category. Let us look at the interest rate PNB offers to investors under the age of 60 for a one-year FD.

Interest offered on a 1-year FD

PNB offers an annual interest rate of 6.25% on one-year FDs to investors under the age of 60. This means that if a regular customer invests less than ₹3 crore in a one-year FD, they will earn interest at 6.25%. Meanwhile, elderly investors receive additional interest for the same tenure; investors aged 60 years or older earn interest at 6.75%.

Interest for investors aged 80 years

For reference, PNB offers an interest rate of 7.05% on one-year FDs to customers aged 80 years—classified as ‘Super Senior Citizens.’ Thus, FD returns increase with the investor’s age.

Extra interest for senior citizens

PNB offers competitive returns to regular customers and provides an additional 0.50% interest on FDs compared to standard rates. Furthermore, it offers an extra 0.30% interest to Super Senior Citizens over and above the rate offered to regular senior citizens. Find out when the last revision took place.

For reference, PNB last revised its FD interest rates on June 1, 2026. Currently, the bank offers interest rates ranging from 3% to 7.40% on FDs of various tenures.
