PM Kisan Yojana: The central government operates the PM Kisan Yojana to strengthen farmers financially. Under this scheme, farmer families receive financial assistance of ₹6,000 annually, which the government disburses into their bank accounts in three installments. The 24th installment of ₹2,000 is set to be credited to farmers’ accounts in the coming days. Farmers can easily check the status of their installments from the comfort of their homes using their mobile phones.
The government has launched the ‘Bharat Vistar’ app, which allows farmers to check the status of their PM Kisan installments and access other relevant information from home. Funds are transferred directly into the farmers’ bank accounts via DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).
Farmers can access information through the ‘Bharat Vistar’ app
The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi programme has announced on the social media platform ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) that farmers can use the ‘Bharat Vistar’ app to obtain information related to agriculture. Under the PM-Kisan scheme, eligible farmer families receive ₹6,000 annually in three instalments via DBT.
The app also facilitates online registration and allows users to track their beneficiary status, making it easier than ever to avail the benefits of the scheme. Additionally, farmers can also use the official PM Kisan website or the official PM Kisan mobile app to register for the scheme and check the status of their installments.
