PM Kisan Yojana: Big news for farmer’s. The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, aimed at empowering farmers economically, has emerged as the leading welfare initiative in the country. Through the PM Kisan scheme, each farmer receives an annual sum of Rs 6,000. This amount is distributed in three installments and is directly credited to the farmer’s bank account. Families living together, such as joint families or brothers sharing a home, often find themselves confused about whether all brothers in the same household can benefit from the PM Kisan scheme.
According to the PM Kisan Yojana guidelines, a family is defined as the husband, wife, and their minor children. This means that merely residing together does not automatically classify all individuals as a single family. If all brothers are adults, they are considered three distinct independent families under government regulations. In this scenario, each brother can independently access the benefits of the scheme, provided they meet one specific requirement.
The land must be in their names. Despite being from different families, all three brothers will qualify for benefits only if they possess cultivable land registered in their own names. If the land is recorded in the revenue records under the names of all three brothers, they are eligible for the PM Kisan Yojana. However, if the ancestral land remains undivided and is registered solely in the name of one brother or their father, the other brothers will not qualify for the scheme.
To combat fraud within the PM Kisan Yojana, the government has tightened regulations significantly. In the past, there were numerous instances where multiple family members fraudulently claimed installments from the same piece of land. To address these irregularities and ensure that funds are allocated only to the rightful beneficiaries, the administration has implemented mandatory physical verification of land and beneficiaries in villages.
When is the 24th installment of PM Kisan expected?
Up to now, 23 installments of PM Kisan have been credited to farmers’ bank accounts. Farmers are now eagerly anticipating the arrival of the 24th installment. The government has not yet released any official information regarding the 24th installment. Based on past patterns, the 24th installment should be released in October.
