Highlights
- Ecosystem Addition: Oppo officially rolled out the Enco Air 5s true wireless stereo (TWS) earphones in China, right alongside the more premium Reno 16 smartphone series.
- Marathon Endurance: From a Marathon endurance angle, these are engineered to push a massive total battery lifespan, up to 48 hours of combined playback together with the charging case or whatever you want to call it.
- Next-Gen Connectivity: For next-gen connectivity, it’s also among the earliest budget-friendly audio accessories that shipped with advanced Bluetooth 6.0 wireless integration, pretty early to the party.
- Smart AI Tools: And then the smart AI tools, they’re pretty deeply embedded in the Oppo ecosystem, with native support for touch-triggered real time AI voice translation, which sounds great in practice.
Oppo kind of pulled back the curtain on its newest audio wearable, the Oppo Enco Air 5s, at a fairly big launch event in China. It’s being launched as a direct companion to the newly unveiled Reno 16 smartphone series , and yeah it’s aimed pretty clearly at the value-conscious crowd. These true wireless earbuds are also being marketed for daily commuters, and people who just use audio for lifestyle stuff, with extra attention on all-day ergonomic comfort , a very durable battery setup, and advanced cross platform dual device connectivity options.
Oppo Enco Air 5s: Specifications and Features
The main idea behind the Oppo Enco Air 5s design is that it feels minimalist, like super light semi-in-ear earbuds almost, you know. They pretty much skip silicone ear tips completely, so there’s less pressure in the ear canal, and each bud comes in at about 3.9 grams, so during long listening you barely notice them. Even though semi-in-ear styles are naturally open-back acoustically, Oppo still put in adaptive, software powered active noise cancellation (ANC) with smart mode switching, plus a triple microphone setup, that’s meant to help separate human vocals during windy outdoor voice calls.
For how they sound, these earbuds use big 12mm high-resolution dynamic driver units. They cover a normal kind of 20Hz–20kHz frequency range, and the output is boosted again by an adaptive optimization system. That system tweaks the equalizer curve digitally depending on how the earbuds sit in your ear, so it’s more “fit aware” than generic tuning. You also get localized spatial audio aimed at 360-degree immersive sessions, along with a dedicated low-latency Game Mode that hits around 47ms, to reduce audio-to-video timing mismatch.
On the connectivity side, there’s a Bluetooth 6.0 wireless module, and Oppo claims stronger stability plus a feature called “Audio Sharing”, where two matching pairs can play from a single host device at the same time. On the stems you’ll find smart touch controls for typical navigation, and yes, it also supports volume sliding plus remote camera shutter control. All of it is rated IP55 for dust and water resistance, so it should hold up fine against workout sweat, and those random rain moments.
Extended Battery Capabilities and Power Spec
Battery longevity is kinda the big deal, honestly, and it really makes the Enco Air 5s series stand out. The charging case comes with a 530mAh battery cell stuffed in it, while each earbud on its own has a 40.5mAh storage reservoir. During testing at 50 percent volume with the usual AAC audio codec things convert into pretty strong real world endurance numbers, based on the power parameters:
- Noise Cancellation Off: gives you up to 9 hours of steady music streaming on one charge, and with the case you can stretch it to a massive 48 hours total, like that, no stress.
- Noise Cancellation On: delivers around 4.5 hours of stand alone playback from the earbuds, and when you factor in the charging case reservoir you’re looking at as much as 25 hours total runtime.
- Recharge Speed: a full fill up for both the case and the dead earbuds is about 90 minutes through a usual USB Type-C port, connected and ready.
