NEET UG-2026:- The controversy over the NEET UG exam is not taking its toll. After the leak of the NEET examination, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test has been conducted again. A large network of solver gangs has been revealed in Lakhisarai, Bihar, during the examination. Police have so far arrested 24 people in the case, including five medical students. NEET UG 2026 examination was held on June 21 across the country.
Strict arrangements have also been made for the examination.
The Ministry of Education and the NTA had made several strict arrangements to ensure the security and fairness of the examination. Despite this, members of the solver gang in Lakhisarai, Bihar, have tried to break into the examination. Police have arrested nine members of a solver gang who reached the exam centre posing as fake NEET students.
Now, 14 employees at the biometric company that handles the examination process have also been arrested. Police said these people had conspired to conduct the examination by substituting solvers for real candidates, and the conspiracy has been foiled.
According to police, the gang had conspired to conduct the examination by replacing the real candidates with proxies (solvers). Arpit Raj, a student of Annapurna Narayan Magadh Medical College and Hospital in Gaya, is believed to be the main ringleader of the gang. The entire network was exposed when Mayank Kashyap, a third-year MBBS student at PMCH, entered the Hasanpur High School examination centre by impersonating a staff member of the biometric company, police said. Police first arrested Mayank during the investigation.
7 candidates also arrested
Meanwhile, raids have been conducted at KRK Higher Secondary School and Kendriya Vidyalaya Lakhisarai in search of Mik. Several others, including 7 candidates, were arrested from there.
Meanwhile, a video is also going viral on social media. The video claims that the question paper was leaked on Telegram before the exam started. However, the NTA has denied all the claims made in the video and described it as fake. The NTA said the video was completely fake. The re-exam went very well.
NTA has also issued a strong warning to those who try to mislead people by sharing fake videos. The NTA said that strict action will be taken against those who spread such false news.
