LPG Subsidy Latest News: If you are a beneficiary of the Ujjwala Yojana, this update is particularly important for you. To avail the benefits of the Ujjwala Yojana, it is mandatory to keep your bank account active, as the LPG subsidy is credited to this account. If you wish to ensure your subsidy continues, here is what you need to do.
To receive the subsidy, you must link your Aadhaar to your bank account. You can do this procedure by visiting your bank branch or by using the online facilities provided by the bank—for instance, through net banking. In short, the first step is to link your Aadhaar with your bank account.

Subsidy issues can also arise due to NPCI mapping.
Simply linking your Aadhaar to your bank account is not enough to ensure the continued receipt of the subsidy; you must also complete the Aadhaar DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) seeding or mapping through the NPCI (National Payments Corporation of India). You should consult your bank to confirm that you wish to receive government subsidies in your account and verify the status of your NPCI mapping.
Inform your gas agency.
If you change your bank account, you must inform your gas agency. You need to notify them of the change and submit your new bank account details, along with a copy of your bank passbook. Additionally, if you have not yet completed your e-KYC, you must do so to ensure your gas subsidy continues.
Steps for customers.
Once you have completed the entire process, verify that your gas subsidy is being credited to the correct account. You can check your subsidy status and bank seeding details on the ‘MyLPG’ portal. If your gas subsidy is not credited to your account, first check with your bank about your Aadhaar-DBT mapping status. If necessary, you can also speak with your agency.
