Local Toll Pass from November 1, Have To Pay Upto Rs 3000

Local Toll Pass: In a major relief for residents living near toll plazas, a new local toll pass system is set to make frequent travel more convenient and potentially reduce toll expenses. Under the proposed rules, private vehicle owners living within a 20-kilometre radius of an eligible toll plaza will be able to obtain an annual pass by paying a fee of Rs 1,500 or Rs 3,000, depending on the toll plaza.

Annual Local Toll Pass Update

The annual pass will allow eligible motorists to make multiple trips through the respective toll plaza without paying the regular toll charge on every journey, subject to the applicable conditions. To qualify, vehicle owners must have a valid FASTag and a non-commercial vehicle. The pass will be valid only at the specific toll plaza for which it has been issued and cannot be used at other toll plazas.

However, the facility may not be available to residents who have access to a service road, as eligibility depends on the applicable rules and local conditions. Therefore, motorists should check the requirements for their nearest toll plaza before applying.

Major Relief for Many People

According to the information provided, the new rules are scheduled to take effect from November 1, 2026. Residents who frequently travel through toll plazas near their homes should verify the official guidelines, eligibility criteria and annual fee applicable to their location before purchasing the pass.
