Heatwave Warning 2025: This time the country will be hotter than expected. According to IMD, this year the number of heatwaves may double in the North-West states of the country i.e. Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Delhi. The year 2024 was one of the hottest years for India, but this time the record of last year will also be broken.
Reason for Heatwave
Meteorologists say that if the number of heatwave days doubles, then 2025 will be the hottest year ever. The temperature of these days can be 5 degrees or even more than normal. The reason behind the increase in heatwave days is El Niño conditions. The second biggest reason is climate change.
Temperature of 8 states more than 40 degrees in March
According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature of eight states of the country is currently more than 40 degrees. These states are Maharashtra, Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh.
How to avoid heat wave-
- Drink more water and stay hydrated.
- Avoid going out in the sun in the afternoon.
- Wear light and loose clothes.
- Shade and adequate water are necessary for those working outside.
