PM Awas Yojna: It is an important scheme launched by the Government of India, which aims to provide safe and pucca houses to all the citizens of the country. Under this scheme, housing facilities are provided to the people in both urban and rural areas. This scheme not only solves the housing problem but also improves the living standards of the people. Through the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the government provides financial assistance so that people can build their dream home.
Under this scheme, two different schemes are being run in the form of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban in urban areas and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin in rural areas. The main objective of these schemes is to provide pucca houses to homeless families. Apart from this, this scheme also improves the social and economic condition.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must be an Indian citizen.
- The applicant should not already have a pucca house.
- The income limit in urban areas is EWS (₹3 lakh), LIG (₹3-6 lakh) and MIG (₹6-9 lakh).
- The applicant must have a valid bank account.

Application Process
- Visit the official website of PM Awas Yojna.
- Click on the “New Registration” option and enter the required information.
- You will receive login details once the registration is complete.Login to the portal using the login information.
- Fill in the requested information carefully.
- Scan and upload the required documents.
- Submit the form after checking all the information and documents.After submitting the application, download the receipt or application slip and keep it safe for future reference.
