Landless Farm Laborers to Receive ₹4,000 from Krishak Bandhu! Just Keep These Documents Ready

Krishak Bondhu Scheme is one of the many welfare schemes of the West Bengal government. Under this scheme, financial assistance is provided to the farmers of the state every year. However, in this year’s budget, a big announcement has been made by the state government about this Krishak Bondhu Scheme. Those who do not have their own cultivable land will also get financial assistance under this scheme. And they will get assistance of up to Rs. 4000 per year. But what documents will be required for them?

Krishak Bondhu Scheme for Landless Agricultural Labourers

Relevantly, from now on, all the agricultural labourers of West Bengal will be able to take advantage of this scheme. And those who do not have cultivable land and therefore have not received benefits under the Krishak Bondhu Scheme so far or are not registered as sharecroppers, will also get the benefits of this scheme from now on. They will be given two installments of Rs. 2000 each in both the Rabi and Kharif seasons. And the specified amount will be directly deposited in the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. Even the benefits of this scheme are being implemented from next April.

Who will get the benefits of this scheme?

As per the new rules, to avail the benefits of this scheme, certain qualifications must be met. These are—

The applicant farmer must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.

Those who do not have agricultural land or cultivable land and are therefore not covered by the Krishak Bandhu scheme will get the benefits of this scheme.

One should not be registered as a sharecropper.

How to apply?

The Krishak Bandhu scheme can be applied offline. For this, the state government is organizing government camps or self-reliant Bengali camps at the doorsteps. Applications will be accepted there under the supervision of assistant agricultural officers and document verification and approval will be done. Once the verification process is complete, money will be sent directly to the farmers’ bank accounts through DBT.
