UP Teacher Vacancy Recruitment Process
When the UPESSC portal becomes fully functional, all verified vacancies will be uploaded by the Directorate of Education. It has been directed that each district should ensure the accuracy of the data before sending it. According to Deputy Director (Secondary-3) Dr. Brajesh Mishra, this process is developed to maintain transparency and efficiency in the recruitment process. After final approval, the recruitment process will be done online through the official portal.

Teacher Training and Supreme Court Guidelines
More than 30,000 primary teachers are now waiting for the mandatory six-month Bridge Course following the Supreme Court directive regarding appointments with B.Ed. The course, provided by NIOS, must be completed within one year of beginning the course; otherwise, a teacher’s appointment will not be valid. The Bridge Course was officially recognized on July 2, 2025, by NCTE.
UP Teacher Vacancy Application and Training Schedule
The state government has assured that online applications for the Bridge Course can be submitted from November 1 to 15 and the training will begin on December 1. However, so far the official notification has not been issued by the Basic Education Department. After the release of official notification, only B.Ed-qualified teachers corresponding to the 69,000 Assistant Teacher Recruitment batch will be able to apply online.
