SAIL Vacancy 2025: Position Details
A total of 124 positions will be filled under this recruitment drive. Seats are reserved for various categories.
- Unreserved (UR): 124 positions
- OBC (NCL): 31 positions
- SC: 22 positions
- ST: 18 positions
- EWS: 18 positions
This recruitment process is for the Management Trainee (Technical) position,which includes positions in Chemical,Civil,Computer,Electrical,Instrumentation,Mechanical,and Metallurgical fields.
SAIL Management Trainee Qualification 2025
Candidates for these positions must have an engineering degree from a recognised university with at least 65% marks.
The qualifying subjects are:
- Chemical Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Computer Science/IT
- Electrical Engineering
- Instrumentation Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Metallurgical Engineering
Fresh engineers (candidates without experience) can also apply for this recruitment.
Salary and Training Structure
- Selected candidates will receive a basic salary of ₹50,000 per month during the one-year training period.
- After completing the training,candidates will be promoted to the position of Assistant Manager.
- Their basic salary will then range from ₹60,000 to ₹1,80,000 per month.
- In addition to salary,candidates will also receive DA,HRA,medical benefits,and other benefits.
Selection Process
Candidates will be selected in four stages.

- Document Verification
- Medical Examination
Successful candidates will be included in the final selection list based on merit.
