iQOO 16T: iQOO is planning to launch its next flagship smartphone, the iQOO 16T. According to leaks, the device could launch very soon, and several reports about it have already surfaced. Recently, tipster Digital Chat Station shared a post on the microblogging site Weibo, revealing key details about the phone’s processor, display, and cooling system. Meanwhile, a Weibo tipster known as ‘Smart Pikachu’ has reported that the iQOO 16T is currently being tested with both liquid and air cooling systems. Leaks also suggest the phone might feature a 200MP main camera, though it will reportedly lack a periscope zoom lens. Let’s take a look at the expected features of the iQOO 16T.
iQOO 16T Processor Details
Previous leaks indicate that iQOO has begun testing the iQOO 16T. The prototype is reportedly based on Qualcomm’s upcoming SM8950 flagship chipset, which is expected to launch as the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6.
iQOO 16T Expected Features
A report from June stated that the company is working on the iQOO 16T and that it will feature a large display, similar to the previous model. Another leak last month revealed that testing is underway with a 2K Samsung display, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chip, and an in-built cooling fan. Recent reports now suggest that the device may also incorporate liquid cooling alongside the fan.
It is worth noting that the predecessor to the 16T, the iQOO 15T, was launched in May. It featured a 200MP main camera and supported 4x lossless zoom as well as Portrait mode across all focal lengths. It also included a 50MP ultra-wide lens with macro support, the Dimensity 9500 Monster Edition chip, and an 8,000mAh battery with 100W charging.
If the 16T incorporates similar features and a dual cooling system, heat management during prolonged use would improve. However, there is currently no information on the iQOO 16 T’s launch date, chipset, or battery size; the company has not yet made any official announcement.
iQOO 15T Specifications
The iQOO 15T features a 6.82-inch 2K+ AMOLED LTPO display with a 144Hz refresh rate and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. The MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Monster chipset powers it, with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. Additionally, the phone houses a large 8,000mAh battery that supports 100W fast charging.
For photography, the iQOO 15T features a 200MP primary camera (with OIS) and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. It also includes a 16MP front-facing camera for selfie enthusiasts. The phone runs on OriginOS 6, based on Android 16, and features a metal frame and an IP68/IP69 rating for dust and water resistance.
