The Chennai-based Regional Meteorological Center announced on Monday that heavy rains would likely be in the coastal and delta regions of Tamil Nadu in the next five days, starting on November 26. Heavy rains are expected in isolated areas of Ramanathapuram, Tiruchirappalli, Perambalur, Kallakurichi and Chengalpattu districts.

According to the bulletin, other areas, including Ariyalur, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Thanjavur, Pudukkottai, Villupuram, Puducherry, Sivaganga, Chennai, Kancheepuram, Tiruvallur, Ranipet and Tiruvannamalai are also likely to receiveheftyy rainfall.
