Weather in Uttar Pradesh
Uttar Pradesh is experiencing two contrasting weather patterns. Lucknow is witnessing a significant difference between day and night temperatures. While daytime temperatures remain high due to bright sunshine, nights become extremely cold as soon as the sun sets. According to weather experts, the clear skies prevent the heat from being retained. An alert has been issued for light rainfall in several parts of UP on January 19 and 20, which will further intensify the cold.

Weather in Punjab and Haryana
The situation in Punjab and Haryana is even more serious. Hisar in Haryana remains the coldest area, with temperatures dropping to near zero (0.2 degrees Celsius). Dense fog has made travel on the roads difficult. Temperatures in areas like Narnaul and Nuh are also significantly below normal.

Which states will experience rain? The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for six states in North India due to expected rainfall. Hilly regions: Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand may experience rain and snowfall over the next few days. Additionally, the Meteorological Department predicts that Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh may receive rainfall between January 18th and 20th.

The department also reports a high probability of rainfall in parts of western Uttar Pradesh and eastern Rajasthan on January 19th and 20th.
