There is also an increased likelihood of lightning strikes. In the hilly regions of Himachal Pradesh, temperatures continue to hover below the freezing point due to ongoing snowfall.

Warning for Heavy Rainfall in These Regions
According to the Meteorological Department, weather conditions are set to deteriorate once again. Another weather system is currently hovering over Uttar Pradesh. Under its influence, rapid changes in weather are anticipated across North, East, and South India. These regions may witness widespread effects, including strong winds, thunderstorms, lightning, and rainfall.
Meanwhile, in Delhi, the weather is expected to take a sudden turn for the worse on March 19 and 20. A warning has been issued for heavy rainfall accompanied by strong storms during this period. Wind speeds are projected to reach between 60 and 75 kilometres per hour. A noticeable drop in daytime temperatures is also expected.
Possibility of Storms in Bihar and Jharkhand
According to the Meteorological Department, the impact of the weather system is expected to be most pronounced in Bihar and Jharkhand on March 20 and 21. These states may experience stormy conditions characterised by strong winds, rainfall, and thunderstorms.
Wind speeds are expected to range between 60 and 70 kilometres per hour. Cloudy skies are anticipated over several districts, including Patna, Muzaffarpur, and Bhagalpur. Intermittent rainfall is forecast for this region.

According to the Meteorological Department, a warning for heavy rainfall accompanied by lightning and thunder has been issued for Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh. There is also a possibility of lightning strikes in several parts of these regions.
Strong winds are expected in coastal areas. The possibility of heavy rainfall, accompanied by thunder and lightning, has also been forecast for various parts of Gujarat, Konkan, and Maharashtra. Additionally, there is a likelihood of rainfall in Rajasthan and Haryana.
