Mahakumbh 2025 Update – 3 Died, Over 3,000 Fall Ill During First Amrit Snan!

Mahakumbh 2025: Mahakumbh 2025 has started in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh from January 13. Crores of people are enthusiastically participating in it. This year, the government named it ‘Amrit Snan’. In such a situation, special attention is paid to the security arrangements.

Kumbh is considered one of the world’s most important cultural and religious fairs. The Mahakumbh held in Prayagraj is the most grand. On the other hand, the havoc of severe cold is also seen on the Mahakumbh.

Three people have died after the royal bath, while more than 3 thousand people have fallen ill. However, the exact cause of death will be revealed only after the post-mortem report comes. Apart from this, 85-year-old Arjun Giri was taken to the hospital after suffering a heart attack, where he died on the way.

What did the Chief Medical Officer say? Dr Manoj Kaushik, Chief Medical Officer of Central Hospital, said that on January 13, 2025, more than 3,000 people reached OPD for treatment. Out of these, 262 patients were admitted. In addition, 37 patients were sent to another hospital due to their critical condition. These people were referred to SRN from Jhansi and Arail Hospital in the Mela.

On the other hand, false news of the death of 11 devotees surfaced on social media, on which the police have taken action. Police found this news untrue in the investigation and registered an FIR. Posts spreading confusion on social media are being removed.

Devotees from all over the country, including Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Assam, Bihar, Kerala, and Andhra Pradesh, have arrived to take the Kumbh bath. During the first Amrit bath of Mahakumbh, Naga Sadhus performed fantastically. In addition, the enthusiasm of foreign devotees was evident. People from different communities celebrated the festival of religion and human humansher.
