Jhansi Hospital Fire Update- 10 Children Died, UP Government announces Rs 10 lakh compensation deceased families

Jhansi Medical College Fire: Big news is coming from Maharani Laxmibai Medical College, Jhansi. Last night, a massive fire broke out in the Special New Born Care Unit. Ten children are reported to have died in the accident.

Thirty-seven children have been rescued safely by breaking the window of the ward. According to reports, this incident is being reported at around 10.30 pm. Sparking is said to be the reason for the fire in the oxygen concentrator. It exploded rapidly.

Then, the fire spread throughout the ward. On information, six fire brigade vehicles reached, and the fire was controlled within 2 hours. After this accident, top officials of Jhansi reached immediately. Immediately after the accident, CM Yogi held a high-level meeting. He ordered the Commissioner and DIG to submit a report within 12 hours.

Announcement of compensation of 10 lakhs

At the same time, UP CM Yogi Adityanath has announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to the families of the deceased. An announcement has been made to give Rs 50,000 to the families of the injured. The Deputy CM said that the bodies of 7 newborn children have been identified for now. Three bodies are yet to be determined. If needed, a DNA test will also be done.

Deputy CM Pathak said that the primary report will come in 24 hours. After that, as soon as the report of the magistrate investigation is received. We will start action immediately. He further said that a fire safety audit was done in February. A mock drill was also conducted in June.

Children of many families are still missing.

After this tragic accident, the families of many children are looking very upset. They say that the children were admitted to the pediatric ward. They were found until 8.30 am today (November 16, 2024). In such a situation, the family is sitting outside the emergency.
