It could not be announced yet who will contest in how many seats. But if reliable sources are to be believed, this meeting has been positive. RJD will contest in the maximum number of seats. On how many seats can RJD contest
If reliable sources of the grand alliance are to be believed, RJD can contest the maximum number of seats. According to a report, RJD is likely to contest 134 to 139 seats in the Bihar assembly elections. It can leave 5 to 10 seats for its allies as compared to the last election. In the year 2020, RJD contested on 144 seats.
It won 75 seats in this. Congress will be the second largest party in the Mahagathbandhan, which is expected to be allotted 50 to 54 seats. Last time it contested the assembly elections on 70 seats. This time, Congress will have to leave 15 to 20 seats more than before.
Vikassheel Party chief Mukesh Sahni is demanding 60 seats for himself this time, but he is likely to be given 18 to 20 seats. There has been a discussion in the meeting on giving 29 to 34 seats to the Left parties. Last time, the Left parties contested on 29 seats. CPI(ML) contested on 19 seats and won only two. Along with this, there is a consideration of giving 4 to 5 seats to Pashupati Kumar Paras’ party.
When is the election possible?
The dates for the Bihar assembly elections can now be announced soon. The Election Commission can announce the election dates in the month of September. Preparations for the elections are also going on at a fast pace at the administrative level.
