What is the Story of ‘Bhooth Bangla’?
The film’s narrative revolves around Arjun Acharya (Akshay Kumar). ‘Arjun Bhai,’ as he is known, resides abroad. In the film, he has accumulated significant debt, a situation that causes his father, Vasudev Acharya (Jisshu Sengupta), considerable distress. Amidst this, Arjun’s sister, Meera (Mithila Palkar), is married off. Consequently, Arjun and his sister return to India for the wedding. Upon arriving in India, they begin searching for a venue—specifically a place where the wedding can be conducted beautifully without exceeding a modest budget. That is precisely when a ‘will’ makes its entry into the story! They discover that their grandfather has bequeathed a palace and land worth 500 crores to them in the village of ‘Mangalpur’ in Uttar Pradesh.
Arjun immediately decides that the wedding will take place in this very palace! He is the first to arrive in the village; however, Mangalpur turns out to be no ordinary village. It is haunted by a demon named ‘Vadhusur’—a malevolent entity whose presence has brought an absolute halt to all weddings within the village. Now, to find out what exactly transpires with Arjun inside that palace, the audience will have to watch Akshay Kumar’s film, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 (formerly titled Bhool Bhulaiyaa).
It is worth noting that Shobha Kapoor and Ekta R. Kapoor are the principal producers behind the film. Judging by the enthusiastic reception the film’s trailer has received, Akshay Kumar’s film appears poised to achieve a record-breaking opening at the box office.
