J&K Accident – 5 Soldiers Killed, Army Truck Falls 300 Feet into Gorge in Jammu & Kashmir

Jammu Kashmir News: A major accident was witnessed in the Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. An army truck fell into a 300-foot-deep gorge, killing five soldiers and injuring many people in this accident. The White Knight Corps said that the rescue operation was happening and that the injured soldiers had been admitted to a private hospital.

Five soldiers have died in this accident. The White Knight Corps has expressed condolences on the death of the soldiers. Currently, the rescue operation is happening at the SP,ot and the injured people are being treated.

Regarding the accident, police officials said, “On Tuesday at around 5:40 pm, an army vehicle of 11 Maratha Light Infantry, which was going from Neelam Headquarters towards Balnoi Ghora Post near the LoC, crashed near Ghora Post.” He said that the vehicle fell into a gorge about 150 feet deep, due to which 10 soldiers, including the driver, were seriously injured.

Even before this, news of accidents of many such army vehicles has come to the fore. On April 29, 20233, an army ambulancefelllintoaaa200-foot-deep ditch in Rajouri, in which two soldiers died. At the same time, on August 19, 2023, an army vehicle fell into a 60-foot-deep ditch, in which nine soldiers died.
