Government Scheme: Several financial aid programs are currently being implemented to enhance the living conditions of farmers across the nation. These initiatives enable farmers to cultivate their land and support their families. The PM Kisan Yojana, introduced by the central government, offers Rs 6,000 annually, distributed in three installments. Additionally, various states have their own distinct schemes for farmers. Let’s discuss the Uttar Pradesh government’s initiative, which provides Rs 5,000 each month.
However, it’s important to note that this funding is not intended for farming purposes. In reality, the Uttar Pradesh government allocates funds to support the education of local farmers’ children. This initiative is known as the Chief Minister’s Farmer Scholarship Scheme. Through this program, financial assistance is granted to the deserving children of farmers and agricultural workers. Instead of Rs 3,000, you now receive Rs 5,000 monthly Under the Chief Minister’s Farmer Scholarship Scheme, the government initially offered Rs 3,000.
However, this amount has recently been increased by Rs 2,000, resulting in a new monthly allowance of Rs 5,000. This financial support is available to eligible students from farming and laborer families within the state. The primary goal of this scheme is to ensure that the education of farmers’ children remains uninterrupted for any reason. Eligibility criteria for the Chief Minister Farmer Scholarship Scheme The government has established specific criteria for beneficiaries of the Chief Minister’s Farmer Scholarship Scheme.
To qualify, the parents of the student must be farmers or registered agricultural laborers. Additionally, the student must be a resident of Uttar Pradesh, meaning that individuals from outside the state are not eligible for this program. The student must also demonstrate academic merit and be actively pursuing their studies. Moreover, for a graduate scholarship, the student must achieve at least 70 percent in their 12th-grade exams from the UP Board, 85 percent from other boards, and 70 percent in their graduation for a postgraduate scholarship.
