Gold Price Weekly: Gold and silver prices fell significantly this week, down ₹4,000 and ₹8,000, respectively. If you are considering buying gold jewellery, check the latest rates beforehand. According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), the price of 24-carat gold fell by ₹4,694 this week, settling at ₹1,54,884 per 10 grams. By the close of the market on September 4, the price of 999-purity gold was recorded at ₹1,54,884.
The price of 22-carat gold has dropped to ₹1,41,874 per 10 grams. Additionally, the price of 18-carat gold has fallen to ₹1,16,163 per 10 grams, down from ₹1,19,684 per 10 grams.
Drop in Silver Prices This Week
Along with gold, silver prices also declined. Silver fell by ₹8,436 to ₹2,35,456 per kilogram, down from ₹2,43,892 per kilogram. This week, the highest price for silver was recorded at ₹2,37,199 per kilogram during the evening session on August 31, while the lowest price was ₹2,28,360 per kilogram during the morning session on September 3.
The IBJA does not release gold rates on Saturdays and Sundays.
