OnePlus Ace 5 Extreme Edition: OnePlus is ready to launch its Ace 5 Extreme Edition, or better still, the Ace 5 Ultra, in China on May 27. OnePlus has been consistently hyping major specs of this device. The new reveals have highlighted its high-end camera sensor and gaming-oriented features, and OnePlus promises a phone that balances performance and high-end photography.

OnePlus Ace 5 Extreme Edition

The OnePlus Ace 5 Extreme Edition will have Sony’s 50MP IMX906 flagship sensor onboard. With an enormous 1/1.56-inch sensor size and 4-in-1 pixel binning, the effective pixel size becomes 2.0μm. This design improves low-light photos, dynamic range, and detail precision. The IMX906 sensor has already been used in phones such as Honor 100 Pro and Redmi K70 Ultra.

The Ace 5 Extreme Edition camera system enables features like Shadow-Free Snapshot, which reduces motion blur and delivers greater clarity in high-speed or mixed-light situations. The phone comes with a Live Photos mode that records brief moments with sound and motion. Its portrait mode utilizes flagship-grade computational algorithms for enhanced subject separation, natural lighting, and depth.

Performance and Gaming Capabilities

This new device will be fueled by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400+ chipset, manufactured on a 3nm process. In addition to the main processor, it will have a Lingxi touch control chip with a 3000Hz touch response rate for accurate gaming inputs. There is also a dedicated G1 Wi-Fi gaming chip that will cut down latency in online gaming situations.

OnePlus has also claimed that the Ace 5 Extreme Edition can provide more than five hours of consecutive gaming with an average frame rate of 118.3 FPS in 1% low frame rate tests when the device is under heavy use, which reflects its emphasis on providing a stable and smooth gaming experience.

Display and Design Options

The phone will also boast a 6.83-inch flat esports display that has a resolution of 2800×1272 pixels and a 144Hz refresh rate. It is launching in Phantom Black, Breeze Blue, and Titanium Blaze colors. The high-resolution panel is expected to provide sharp images and transitions for both gaming and multimedia consumption.

Launch of Additional Variant

In addition to the Ace 5 Extreme Edition, OnePlus will also launch the Ace 5 Racing Edition. This sibling offers its own version of affordability while maintaining most of the performance-oriented features. It will be priced just a little less but inherit the competitive gaming DNA of the Extreme Edition.
