UPSC CSE 2026: Big news is coming for young people preparing for the UPSC Civil Services Exam. According to media reports, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) may soon release the notification for the UPSC IAS Preliminary Exam 2026. Along with the notification, the commission will also share details such as application and exam dates, as well as the number of vacancies. The notification was initially scheduled for release on January 14th, but was postponed for administrative reasons.

Eligibility for UPSC CSE Exam
Candidates must have a minimum graduate degree to complete the form. The applicant’s minimum age should be 21 years, and the maximum age should not exceed 32 years. However, reserved categories such as SC, ST, OBC, and PwD candidates will receive age relaxation as per the rules.

Selection Process for becoming an IAS Officer
Candidates must first appear for the preliminary examination. Candidates who qualify in this stage will have to appear for the main examination. After the main exam results are announced, successful candidates will have to participate in the interview process. After all the stages, the final list of candidates will be prepared.

To fill out the application form, you will first have to register on the portal upsconline.nic.in.
Candidates can complete the application process by entering the remaining details.
Candidates must submit the form after paying the prescribed fee.

Candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs. 100 as an application fee, which can be paid online. SC, ST, PwD, and all categories of female candidates will be able to apply for the recruitment free of charge.
