UP Board 12th Exam 2026: The UP Board Intermediate class examinations have begun. Meanwhile, the method for awarding marks in the UP Board Class 12 practical examinations has also been changed. This time, the UP Board Class 12 marks will be uploaded twice. To eliminate any possibility of errors in uploading practical marks, the board has implemented a system of uploading marks twice this year.
The practical exams for students appearing in the UP Board 12th examination 2026 have started. According to the board, the 12th practical examinations will now be held on January 29 and 30, 2026. These are the same dates that were previously removed due to a clash with UP TET 2026. However, since UP TET 2026 has been postponed, these dates have been rescheduled.

Practical Exams to be Conducted in Two Phases
Along with the changes in the practical exam dates, the board has clearly stated that the examination will be conducted in two phases. The first phase will run from January 24, 2026, to February 1, 2026, while the second phase will run from February 2 to February 9, 2026. The exams on January 29 and 30 will be part of the first phase.
The board has also clarified that there have been no changes to the dates of the Class 10 and 12 written examinations. The theory exams will be conducted between February 18 and March 12, 2026. It is expected that more than 50 lakh students will participate in this year’s UP Board exams.
UPTET Exam in July
The UP TET examinations will now be held on July 2, 3, and 4. This information was provided by UPESSC through the release of a revised examination calendar. This examination was previously scheduled for January 29 and 30 but was postponed for technical and administrative reasons.
Key Changes and Important Guidelines
CCTV Surveillance: All practical examinations will be conducted under mandatory CCTV surveillance. The recordings must be preserved by the schools.
Online Marking: Practical marks will be uploaded directly by the examiners to the board’s official website.
Rules for High School: Internal assessment for Class 10 students will be conducted at the school level based on project work.
